Coming soon…

newborn girl Peyton | Tecumseh Michigan Newborn photographer

It’s not very often that the daddy contacts the photographer for a newborn session, but that’s exactly how things went down for Miss Peyton’s session.

Dad contacted me, and introduced me to Peyton and her “big sister” Jayd…..she’s the protective, puppy dog type…you know? 😉

Once I assured dad they were welcome to bring big sis to the photo shoot, we set up the rest of the details.

So Tyler, Andrea, Jayd and little miss Peyton Rose came in to the studio on a chilly Michigan Saturday morning, and Peyton rocked her newborn session!

Jayd was SO well behaved in the studio, and so good with her human newborn. But I’ll let you see for yourself.

Here are a few favorites from their session.

Dad is an avid hunter…so he had to bring in a little something to show off his love. Love how this turned out <3

Wonderfully Made Noah | Southeast Michigan newborn photographer

Those that know me, know How passionately involved with New Beginnings Mercy House I am.  Being a teen mom myself so SO many years ago, I very much understand how difficult it is to make LIFE choices when there seems to be so many other (easier) options.
Last year, I had this urge to create a project {The Wonderfully Made Project} to Bless some of these mama’s with a complimentary newborn session, with a professional album of their session. These mama’s have in some way or another chosen LIFE when life got hard <3
First handsome boy of 2016 was Mr Noah.
He was such a sweet boy in Britton studio. Mama and grandma just got to hang out in the sitting area and relax while Noah and I snuggled  captured precious memories.
Here is just a small sampling of my favorites from his session.

Selected images from the sessions performed throughout the year are then used to create a beautiful Calendar! The proceeds from these go into the Zachary Scholarship fund, to help Mercy House moms continue their education and better themselves!
These sessions are provided free of charge, and completely donated by the photographer, however there are still some costs involved….if you would like to support, please consider donating here.
For you created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Matt & Sophia Maternity | Southeast Michigan Maternity photographer

I met Sophia back in the spring of 2013 at a job orientation. We are both pediatric nurses that work in private homes (next to this job, it’s kind of the best) Anyway…..we chatted a little about my 2nd job and her upcoming wedding. Later that week, they booked!!!

I met Matt and Sophia together in the October 2013 when I shot their engagement portraits at Sophia’s Whitney Family Farm in Ann Arbor Michigan, they were (are) adorable.

Fast Forward to Spring of 2014 when I photographed their gorgeous country wedding at the cutest little church in Dexter Michigan. It was a gorgeous day, with a few sprinkles of rain (ok, a lot of rain at some points) but that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying the day!

But seriously…the threat of rain makes for a gorgeous sky, doesn’t it?

Ok, on to the actual reason for this post…..when Whitney emailed me mid 2015 to announce to me that her and Matt were expecting, and she wanted to book her maternity and newborn sessions!!! Now THIS is seriously why I love this job so stinkin’ much!! I get to watch families form, and grow…it’s kind of amazing, right?

A chilly January afternoon, we met at my studio in Britton MI. We were hoping for a little snow, but not with this years Michigan weather. Sophia was seriously stunning in her perfect round belly. We captured some great memories. w (8 of 40)w (11 of 40)w (17 of 40)w (28 of 40)w (33 of 40)

Didn’t I tell you she was stunning in this beautiful round belly. You’ll be able to catch a peek at their sweet princess’ session pretty soon!

Southeast MI newborn photographer | Daisy

The first sweet girl of 2015, Miss Daisy.

She was simply amazing, and perfect. Daddy is a total Farmall guy, and mommy made this AMAZING quilt you see below.

As the first grand daughter, Miss Daisy pretty much rocked farm princess, and she’s got daddy completely wrapped around her tiny little finger.
